Hello Everyone!
Welcome to this week’s Engine Room Dev Update, where we’ll be going through our 0.2.8 patch, which brings a new Supervisor’s Desk which gives you access to a free-cam, a rework of the fast travel system inside the train, including the ability to name and favourite wagons, and a new Field Of View (FOV) slider so you can change the setting to your preference.
As always, these weekly patches are only possible because of all of the reports and feedback you all send us, and we really can’t stress enough how much we appreciate all of the things you send us, as it really does let us quickly identify the cause of issues and fix them for you all!
We’d also like to take this opportunity to plug our Discord, where you can chat with other EverRail players, take advantage of our LFG (Looking For Group) channel, share ideas, thoughts and generally be a part of our friendly community. You can join here: http://discord.gg/AesirInteractive
Before we go into the full patch notes, we want to share one bit of important information:
Lightweight GPU crash diagnostics are now enabled by default while we track down GPU crashes. This costs roughly 3% GPU performance; add -lightdred=0 to the game's launch options in Steam to turn it off.
Now, without further ado, here are the full Patch Notes for this week’s 0.2.8 Patch:
