Hi everyone!
We are NOT sad to announce that Childwood will no longer exist.
Say hello to...
Feed the Giants
Why this change???
As French developers, we didn’t realize that 'wood' can be used as English slang. We had no idea that Childwood could be perceived as problematic. Thankfully, many of you warned us on Reddit and helped us make the decision to change the game’s name. We chose Feed the Giants for several reasons:
Avoid any problematic interpretation
Better reflect the game’s objective
Emphasize the streaming metaphor with the word 'Feed'
We also redesigned the logo to move away from the Burton-esque / Don’t Starve-inspired style and give it a more threatening identity:
What do you think? Do you like it?
Meet us at Indie Game Lyon
Also, we'll be participating in Indie Game Lyon this week-end. If you’re around, come playtest the demo in preview and meet the team! We’ll be waiting for you!
See you soon!
