Some of you may have noticed the little Playtest button on our Steam page.
The number of sign-ups in the backend honestly surprised (and deeply encouraged) us — thank you so much for your interest and enthusiasm! 🙏
However, we want to clarify something: This current Playtest was meant primarily as an internal test, mainly for things like:
cloud save verification
achievement testing
and hunting down blocking bugs
We’re not ready yet for a large-scale public test, and we don’t want to give the wrong expectations.
With the holidays, Steam reviews have been a bit slow, but our internal test CDKs have already been approved, so we no longer need to keep the Playtest button visible. We’ve decided to temporarily hide it, and when the game is truly ready for public testing, we’ll reopen it together with a proper announcement.
Seeing so many people sign up really meant a lot to us. It’s incredibly motivating to realize that so many of you are quietly watching and cheering for this strange little niche project of ours. My development motivation is absolutely overflowing right now. Thank you! ❤️
Development Status
The project is progressing smoothly:
doing some meaningful “feature diet”
refining the main loop for better pacing
adding new, more interesting random exploration events
Our cooking system has also gone through a big upgrade: Recipes are no longer unlocked — you discover them yourself. Monster drops → you experiment → success or failure may produce unexpected dishes, often with random modifiers that meaningfully affect your shop economy and strategy. It’s become much more fun and expressive.
And here’s a little treat: a concept preview of our new event “Grain Spirit” 👇

Thank you all again, and Happy New Year! 🎉
When we’re ready for a real public Playtest, we’ll absolutely announce it here first. Stay tuned!
