Hey there HEXers! One of the highlights of working here at HEX TCG is watching how the players interact with new cards and finding the synergies and nuances laid out in a set, including some things that we may not have been expecting. We’ve been closely watching how you’ve been incorporating Primal Dawn in your decks, watching what is making it into tournament decks, and how the constructed meta game is evolving. These things help us plan more exciting cards and set construction for the future.
Quite a few Evolving Sealed Gauntlet tournaments have been played internally as well, and we’ve been enjoying it as much as you have. We also look at the data from these tournaments to see what kind of decks and champions are being played, as we are vigilant in looking for outliers in the format both from what we expected and from what has been unexpected.
The R&D team uses a huge chunk of the development process balancing the limited format. Evaluating the cards through the limited format lens takes a nuanced touch and many, many test sessions. Things seem to be shaping up nicely, but we’ll keep a close eye on it.
VIP Changing of the guards
VIP tournament reward cards will be new this month with Primal Dawn alternate art cards being awarded during the VIP tournaments on May 27th, 28th, and 29th. Limited tournaments will be queued up for VIP players, and here is your first look at what you can win!
If you are not yet a HEX VIP member and don’t want to miss out on these tournaments, you should definitely become one. Head to the in-game store and choose 1 month, 2 months, or 12 months. With your purchase, you get a pack per week of the current set, plus tickets to allow entry into these events (tournament entry fees still apply).
