By now, it's been almost a month from when I thought I would be releasing Database Designer!
To get straight to the point, this has left quite a few of you wondering "Hey WalkerDev, where the !?!? is Database Designer?"

To put it completely honestly, I wanted to put Database Designer out for quite a while now! However, I was stopped due to Steam having issues with checking my build. In the past, I used Muv Luv images on a background (which could get me in legal trouble).
I fixed this by animating and creating the new ad on the Steam Page. Beyond that however, I also had to wait once more for Steam to check everything out, which ended up taking a few weeks surprisingly. I actually got the yes a few hours before writing this! However, I also realized there were bugs I did not account for that needs to be fixed thanks to beta testers; some of the issues include
Database Designer needing to be killed VIA the "Close" button on Steam
The X button on windows refusing to work at random
The UI for Database Designer acting weird at times and
Issues with the Project Manager
I believe it would be extremely easy to just send out Database Designer as is to the community and promise an update later, but I believe this would be cheap and a disservice to those who choose to trust in the work my team and I have done.

I also want to fix the links on the Steam Page and add more context from the mini helper inside to get users more acquainted to Database Designer. For example, you can actually use CTRL + Mouse Scroll to make Database Designer bigger or smaller. I also have been seeing if we can get a Linux version rolled out too!
Finally, there's quite a bit happening on the outside of my life as well! I'm working on a LOT of projects, including THE XRUIOS! It's an Operating System for XR headsets that i've been developing for years, although very recently have I decided to take things to the maximum and develop it as a proper solution. However, for it to work on Stride3D I needed to make a mod system and a protocol for it which I plan on open sourcing in time!

This has been part of my studies and i'm actually likely headed to Japan this March! I will be presenting the software at Persuasive 2026 more likely than not! I plan on taking a small vacation as well, given i've not stopped working on development since late 2024 and will soon be taking a day job to help in RnD.
Finally, I am focusing on the development of the Supporter Pack! Adding voices to the visual novel, credits, SFX and all is honestly a bit hard not because of the skill needed but because of the sheer amount! For one person spearheading the bulk of development at this point? It becomes kind of hard to deal with. Still, the supporter pack is literally the ONLY way we make any kind of money right now, so I want to make sure that the people who get it feel like they're truly appreciated!

Database Designer at the end of the day will remain free, open source and under development! I plan on using a lot of the money made from the Supporter Pack to support the development of the flow based API builder engine that will be used in both Database Designer and the XRUIOS (while keeping it open source).
I thank you all for your trust in Database Designer and can't wait for you all to try it!
- Stay Cool, WalkerDev
