⚖️ Civil Cases — Bug Fixes & Polish
Civil case progress bar fixed. Cases like Rivera, Halloran, and Brenner now correctly track through their civil pipeline: Pleadings & Discovery → Pre-Trial → Settlement → Trial Prep → Trial → Post-Trial → Closed. Previously they showed the wrong stages.
Investigation phase restored. Rivera and Halloran were shipping with most of their evidence already discovered, making the investigation phase feel pointless. Both cases now have real hidden evidence waiting to be uncovered.
Civil charges no longer show jail time. Wrongful termination and bad faith claims correctly show damages exposure — not prison sentences.
📜 Appellate Track — Bug Fixes
Remand instructions now appear in appellate opinions. When a court remanded a case with specific instructions, those instructions were silently dropped from the opinion display. Fixed.
Standard-of-review picker is now fully readable. You can now see the rationale for every option — not just the one you've selected — via tooltips and a new "Compare all standards" panel.
🏛️ Washington State Appellate Track (New Feature)
Lost at trial? Fight back. File a Notice of Appeal under RAP 5.2 and take your case to the Washington Court of Appeals.
Cases move into Division I, II, or III of the WA Court of Appeals based on venue.
Build your appellate record, draft a five-issue brief under RAP 10.4(b), and optionally file a reply brief.
Face a three-judge panel drawn from a 17-judge roster — each judge votes per issue.
Outcomes include: affirmance, reversal, vacatur, or remand with instructions.
Still not satisfied? Petition the Washington Supreme Court under RAP 13.4(b) for discretionary review, with a shot at en banc rehearing.
📁 Civil Practice Pack (New Cases)
Three new civil cases expand the starter docket beyond the criminal-heavy original roster:
Rivera v. Meridian Logistics — Retaliatory discharge / whistleblower wrongful termination
Highpoint Renovations v. Halloran — Construction defect counterclaim
Ashfield v. Brenner — Landlord-tenant damages dispute
🎓 Law School Fixes
Property (1L) and Criminal Procedure (2L) courses are now reachable. The course materials existed but weren't wired into the curriculum — players couldn't access them through normal progression. Fixed.
IRAC Final Exam answers now save automatically. Navigating away mid-exam no longer wipes your Issue/Rule/Analysis/Conclusion drafts. Your work persists until you submit.
🖥️ UI / Quality of Life
