Alien Attorney Adventure - Version 0.5.0
🎉 Major Features & Gameplay Additions
High-Stakes Pro Bono Docket
Introduced "Civil Rights Violation" and "Capital Murder" class archetypes.
These cases offer massive reputation rewards and game-changing narrative shifts, but they are completely Pro Bono (Expected Revenue: $0).
Taking on a High-Stakes case now drains your firm for -$250/day in operational expenses (expert retainers, private investigators, etc.), forcing you to balance your docket with paying clients to stay afloat.
A highly visible amber Warning Alert has been added to the Intake UI to make sure you know what you are getting into before accepting the case.
Jury Selection (Voir Dire)
Impartial Juries are a Myth: The game now generates a pool of 15 fully-realized JurorProfiles possessing hidden biases, traits, and social desirability scores.
Players intercept the trial flow before Opening Statements to engage in Voir Dire. You must question the jury pool—spending limited Peremptory Challenges and Challenges for Cause—to strike severely biased jurors.
The Jury Sympathy momentum meter's starting position is now actively determined by the aggregate biases of the surviving seated jury and the Opening Theme you establish!
Document Dump Discovery System
The Prosecution has stopped handing over clean evidence files. They will now frequently drop mountains of unreviewed DiscoveryDocuments onto your lap containing police reports, financial ledgers, and witness statements.
Spend Action Points (Planner Hours) inside the new Discovery Panel to manually scrub these documents to uncover hidden EvidenceItems and case-breaking logical flaws before trial.
Expanded Law School Curriculum
Transitioned the basic Law School placeholder into a fully functional Litigation Clinic.
Integrated the new Deposition Logical Flaws mechanic into the simulation engine. (Find the contradictions before you step into the courtroom!)
🛠 Polish & Infrastructure
Steam Cloud & Achievement Tracking: Decoupled campaign instances from the meta-progression root. progressSlice now safely tracks totalCasesWon, totalPlayTimeSeconds, and totalMoneyEarned, continuously pushing updates linearly via the Steamworks IPC middleware.
Refactored JuryPool logic to natively support Alternate Juror replacements for future updates.
Updated version strings to Build 0.5.0 alongside internal engine type stabilizations.
