We are working on our first set of NPCs and Vendors that will be added to many parts of the game. Here is the first work-in-progress look at Dovion The Dealer:

Dovion is a very interesting character. He came over on the first voyage and was largely known as being a Smuggler/Pirate. Once he arrived to Orion he instantly became obsessed with the Ion Crystals ("Blue Gold") and would collect them to shave them down into dust and then inhale it. He would later help traffic what was known as Ion Dust which allegedly allows you to "see the entire universe" when you take it. Many people are addicted and you can find him in the back alleys of Nova City when you arrive if you'd like to learn more.
Nova City is an upcoming Social Module that expands what we've accomplished in Orbital Command.
Nova City was primarily a human/alien trafficking and slavery cargo operation by Murdocke Enterprises. They set this up to get mass cargo out to the new Solar System and had been mining Rigel for a century before anyone else got there. This first began in the 1940's unknown to any government, corporation or faction. After many uprisings it finally succumbed to a criminal or exiled hideout for many and was only later discovered upon the mass arrival of the Guardians and Crew in the period of which this game takes place. There will be crowds of unique species, unique vendors and you'll be able to travel and interact here with many other Guardians at once.
