GastroComic here.

A few days ago, I was going through my usual routine. You know: pretending to work, checking that nobody notices me, then getting back to work by pretending to work again.
And then I saw a number: 68,000.
At first, I thought I might have gone a little too hard on the beer, so I checked again. Nope. My system wasn’t malfunctioning. The first edition of Weird Days: Job Simulator, the indie festival we organized on Steam, had reached more than 68,000 visits.

The idea behind the festival was simple: bring together some of the strangest job simulators we could find, all in one place. For this first edition, 102 indie games joined Weird Days: Job Simulator, featuring unlikely professions, questionable workplaces, suspicious employers, and a whole lot of wonderfully weird ideas.
Our goal was to bring talented indie developers together, help players discover original games, and make as much noise as possible for everyone taking part. And somehow...it worked.
We also want to give a huge thank you to our 5 guest curators and 5 guest streamers who joined us for this first edition.

They helped spotlight some of the festival’s games, shared their own selections, played weird jobs live, and brought their communities along for the ride. Weird Days would not have felt the same without them.
A huge thank you to every developer who trusted us and joined this first edition, and to every player who came to explore the festival, try demos, watch streams, and add games to their wishlists. Seeing more than 100 indie games gathered around such a weird concept was already incredible. Seeing more than 68,000 visits was something else entirely.
Apparently, there are a lot more weird people out there than I thought. Perfect. I feel less alone.

GastroComic, signing off. I’ve got a few barrels I need to pretend to inspect.
Oh, and apparently I’m also required to remind you that if you haven’t wishlisted our game yet...you know what to do. They pay me in bolts to say that.
