Oh, you want more than just a link? Fiiiiiiiine.
Hi there! Jack/Pangbot here. Developer/Creator/Programmer/God-of-the-New-World for Gloopy Edible Nubbins. I've just put out a short experience of what the game will be like. If the game's caught your eye, you should try it out and tell me what you think! If you like it, you can even wishlist the full game and follow to hear about more announcements.
Why isn't this on Steam?
Because I hate you, that's why. Not you (people in general), you (specifically), John. You know what you did, and now everyone else has to suffer because of your actions.
...Alright, you twisted my arm. The real reason is that I'm not comfortable calling this a full demo because most of the art is placeholder stuff and free-to-use assets. I want the real demo to actually look like the real game. As it's not a full demo, I won't be uploading this build onto Steam. There, happy? I hope so. Unless you're John. **** you, John.
Oh, it has placeholder art? I sleep.
That's fair enough! If you want to wait for the real demo, I won't hold that against you. I'm aiming to get it out by early next year anyway, so hopefully you won't be waiting too long. As for the full game, who knows? That'll really depend on how much feedback I get, when I get it, and whether the feedback is any good.
But if you want to wait, I think it's even more important you wishlist/follow in that instance. I'll be putting out posts now and then and one of them will be the demo release announcement, so you really wouldn't want to miss that!
Demo early next year? But when?

This is the first game I've ever actually made. (Unless you count multiple choice quizzes in PowerPoint, or half-baked web-based incremental games, which I don't) Scope-wise I'm pretty happy with what the demo will contain: It'll have ~2 hours of active content with more than double the number of upgrades as in the proto-demo, as well as 2 or 3 more conversations. Oh, a few more stations and plots, too.
But this is where the feedback is super important! While I've laid the groundwork for all of this, it would be much easier for me to adjust any mechanics now, rather than in, say, January. I like how the game feels and I've played a lot of incremental games and visual novels, so I like to think if you enjoy those genres, you'll probably enjoy this too. But, I could be wrong! I'm the only one who's played it so far and my self-feedback is getting shorter with every playtest. I really need more eyes on it to get it to where I want it.
You're such an insightful, caring dev. I wish every game developer was like you.
:3
Sike, it's John, *****.
