Overview
We have a new version of the open playtest, after eons of inactivity! Like an ancient horror, we have risen from the depths to shrug off this reality and perhaps slip into something more comfortable for once. Fashion standards for eldritch monstrosities have gotten really unreasonable, and we need a break sometimes, honestly.
Now there are (slightly) less bugs! A few new cards were added. Plus some requested UI features.
Features and Changes
New cards!

Card tooltips now show card rarity

There is now an option to always skip the victory animation if you want.

The end of turn confirmation dialog is now less aggressive. It won't pop up if the only things you can do are generally bad for you, like damaging or killing your own minions.
Every town day, a random card in the shop is now dropped from the shop and replaced with a new one.
Minion attack/defense should be a little easier to read now (it still needs some work)

The progress tracker at the top of the map now has a tooltip explaining what it is
Enemies are now named in the combat log

The "destroy card" visual effect should look nicer now
Bugfixes
Hitboxes for buildings, portals, etc. were REALLY bad on the new hex map. They should be waaaaaay better now. Sorry about that.
Optionally targeted rules weren't correctly allowing you to skip targeting. This could softlock the game when there were no valid targets.
The victory music should no longer start playing early
What's Next?
You'll be able to skip card rewards at the end of combat if you want
Addressing performance and stability issues (gonna take some effort)
Settings to turn off antialiasing and bloom effects (these probably aren't helping with performance on less beefy machines, and ideally this game should run on a toaster)
Minor UI improvements
Your feedback affects what we work on! Unfortunately, performance and stability issues were a big pain point so we'll be trying to fix that first. Then we can move on to things that are more exciting.
The whole point of the playtest is for us to listen to you and fix stuff. So we're doing exactly that. If you want to push for certain things sooner, feel free to check out our Discord, and let's talk about it! Or visit our detailed task tracker to see how things are going, or visit our live roadmap for a high level view.
Looking forward to addressing all of the feedback, and thanks for trying out Vortex Siege!
