Don’t cross Juno, The Last Word.
Basic Gameplay
Juno’s primary, Laser Barrage, functions similarly to Celeste’s Strong Arm, but is an AoE and has unique pivots that allow her to hit some angles you might not otherwise have access to. When you’re absolutely sure an enemy is going to dash, use Lockdown as a way to punish them! Knockbacks are incredibly powerful as they synergize well with traps and assist escapes, and on a 4 turn cooldown, you can employ Off Limits to ensure your enemies are never where they want to be. Because of the way Juno’s ult works, she becomes a stationary target. Activating her Riot Shield can give her the staying power she’ll need as the Head of OmniTrust Security.
Juno is the first freelancer to be able to use her ultimate, Lay Down The Law, before having earned max energy. For the low cost of 50 energy she hunkers down and combines the power from both of her laser cannons to create a solid beam that can stick around for multiple turns. Each turn the player has a choice to perform another ability and be able to move again, or pay 20 more energy to sweep the beam across a wide area. You can use this beam to cut off escapes or just de-atomize those stubborn enough to stick around.
Juno is still a Firepower, even with 140 hp and a 40 point shield on a 3 turn cooldown. Enemies will take advantage of those turns you don’t have your Riot Shield available, and even more so when you’ve rooted yourself to perform your ultimate. Always try to take cover and, if possible, time your Riot Shield to use during your ultimate. Enemies will also use your rooted ultimate as the perfect time to just walk away from you. Work with your team to corner them, root or slow them, and keep them in your sights. If they get behind you during your ultimate, you’re in bad shape because you can only sweep your beam so far!

- Off Limits
-
Smash your laser cannons down creating a shock wave that knocks enemies back.
- Riot Shield
-
Activate a free action shield that takes the edge off enemy attacks.

Advanced Tactics
- When playing as Juno:
- Juno’s Laser Barrage covers a lot of ground. Even if you can’t see your enemies you can still potentially hit them by firing into camo.
- Lockdown is a great tool against dashes. Use it on likely targets such as low health freelancers that have a dash available.
- Off Limits is useful for creating space – wait for enemy frontliners to engage then push them back.
- Even though you can use your ultimate at 50 energy, consider holding onto it longer so you can sweep it multiple turns.
- Be aware of your weaknesses – no dash and a stationary ult can leave you stranded behind your team or away from the fight if you’re not careful.
- Coming up against Juno:
- Counter Juno’s ultimate by forcing her to take large amounts of damage with persistent damage fields and big damage delayed effects such as Zuki’s Big One.
- Burst Juno down when her shield is on cooldown.
- Juno can dish out tons of damage but can’t fire over walls, avoid straying into her line of fire by keeping out of line of sight and hitting her from afar. Getting behind her when she ults forces her to consider ending her ult early.
- As a frontliner try to have a source of unstoppable when engaging with Juno to mitigate the effects of Off Limits.
