Big Announcements!
THE BAD NEWS
We are closing the Haunted Heist Demo on Saturday, May 30, 2026 12:00 AM PST. Make sure to jump in and get your final heists in on Friday.
THE GOOD NEWS
We are hosting and participating in an all-day beta playtest event with a new and improved version of Haunted Heist on Saturday, June 27, 2026 10:00 AM PST, where we'll host a Dev Q&A during the day. Key distribution will happen exclusively within our Discord server.
We are hosting an r/Games AMA, which is taking place on Saturday, May 30, 2026 9:00 AM PST. Be sure to shoot us a question on Reddit!
Why are we closing the demo?
We believe that the bugs, balancing issues and overall scrappy state of the demo are causing players to bounce off and de-wishlist Haunted Heist. We're also getting a few "dead game" comments over our social channels that we'd like to avoid going forward. We're building a vastly improved experience with the help of the playerbase's feedback, and we'd prefer people to be hyped for what's to come, rather than unimpressed with what's currently here.
What if I still want to play Haunted Heist?
Sit tight and gather your friends for June 27th! The new and improved beta will include:
audio fixes
fully overhauled character design
a map system
walkie talkies
an early version of the new Fright System, which incentivizes and rewards varied trickster gameplay
lobby quality-of-life and balancing fixes
