Hello everyone,
We want to give you an update on the situation surrounding the game. Since our last post, we’ve pursued every possible lead regarding IP ownership, over a hundred emails to various contacts including Assemble Entertainment, Activision, Gameforge, and even Mr. Marcinek himself. Unfortunately, we’ve received no responses, leaving the licensing situation unresolved.
This has forced us to withdraw from the upcoming Steam Next Fest in February, despite having a fully working demo, promo materials, and a live stream ready. We plan to continue pursuing IP clarity through the summer in hopes of participating in the next event in June.
Participation email from Steam, which we have now opted out of:
However, we also want to be upfront about alternative paths. One option we may have to consider, if we continue receiving no response, is a complete rebuild of the game’s identity from scratch (Development, game art and assets, sound effects and music).
This would allow us to preserve the gameplay and experience, while avoiding licensing issues entirely, since we are getting nowhere with this since Summer 2025.
Before taking any steps, we want to hear from you, the community:
Would you support a crowdfunding campaign to help fund a complete rebuild of the game?
Do you have experience running or promoting crowdfunding campaigns and would be willing to help guide this process?
Are you interested in contributing in other ways, ideas, promotion, or feedback during development?
Let us know your thoughts here in the Steam discussion, on Discord, or by email at [email protected]
Our goal has always been to keep this game alive and playable on modern PCs. If we need to rebuild from scratch, we want to do it with the community involved every step of the way.
More importantly, a complete rebuild would also allow us to add new features and improvements inspired by what the community wants to see. Should we undertake this process, we want the community to be actively involved with ideas and suggestions, helping the game evolve beyond its original form while keeping its core spirit intact.
Any input is deeply appreciated. ❤️
And a huge thanks to everyone who has already helped us, especially dave8888, Konri_one (K_o), Rockychano, and Vinerothas(Discord user) - you guys are amazing! ❤️
