It’s been a month since I released the demo, and I've received some valuable feedback during this time. Another source of information has come from watching people play the game on YouTube.
It has been very insightful to see first-hand where players get stuck and what aspects of the game didn't work as intended. As such this updated is aimed at making the game more accessible and highlight unique elements of the game that could have been missed before.
Enhancements
The game select screen now shows all 3 game modes at the same time. This makes it clearer other options are available to play not just the timed game mode.
When starting the timed game mode, if there any outstanding level objectives these will now be highlighted. This will hopefully make it clear that the timed game mode is not just about hitting golf shots, it’s also about exploring the level.
Hints and tips are now shown on the loading screen that will offer some friendly advice for the player.
The menu music no longer continues to play when loading into a game, instead ambient town sounds play instead.
Fixes
Fixed target hit combo resetting incorrectly when hitting a shot. This will now allow players to take advantage of a higher target hit combo to achieve greater scores more easily.
When resetting the players settings, if this results in a language change, the settings UI now updates correctly.
The shot control UI now correctly disappears when the player confirms where they are aiming. Before it would continue to show the shot setup controls which were not valid for starting the golf swing.
As always, I hope you enjoy these changes. If you have any feedback, please reach out at [email protected]
Thanks
