Operators,
Team members in our community are already busy creating guides, videos and other tools to help ease the onboarding into Burned Horizons. [MOOSE] created an incredible intro video (above) to get you into the fight quicker, and [WAR HERO] devised an ever handy guide to tactical keybinds (below).
In addition to focusing on ways to help shorten the learning curve, we have already begun pushing bug fixes, polish updates, and small QoL improvements based on early player feedback to improve the early experience. We will likely put out a Sitrep later this week or possibly on Monday to keep you informed on what's next on the development front. It will address what operators should expect in the next four weeks, and as we begin to ramp up (Aug EA revenue arrives) in October with new team member additions.
You can generally expect that for the next four weeks we're going to be focus on bug fixing, polish, quality of life improvements, and tightening/deepening the combat loop, animations, etc.
There will be a certain limitations on how expansive those initial improvements are because a number of mechanics need to be implemented first ( ie Morale Checks for flanking, suppression, etc.)
Lots in store.
As always, thanks for backing the build.
