I have to start with asking for a small favor: Sales are extremely low so I would really appreciate if you left a review + maybe recommended the game to a buddy - it really helps! Thanks in advance! <3
EDIT: Sales are actually better now - but feel free to spread the word nonetheless! =)
This patch adds the following:
A new set of skills, related to foraging and surviving off the lands.
40+ new items, most are berries, seeds, new recipes, placeable camp-site stuff like canopies, etc.
Map Ledger item, in which you can gather all your maps.
2 new enemies lurk the Mirk for you to discover and survive!
2 new types of trees and new 3 harvestable nature tiles: cranberries, turnips and watercress.
You can now harvest those thorny bramble vines, in search/examine mode.
One new unique location with a new NPC. (The winner of the recently held contest can now be found out there ^^ )
This patch changes the following:
You can now rotate items held with the cursor. Default key is E.
You now get XP for crafting items and starting fires. The XP will decrease as the player levels up, and eventually be 0.
Placing items is much better communicated with brighter colors, clearer frames, etc.
There is now a chopping animation when harvesting parts of trees.
Improved when pathfinding symbols are shown, making the game less flickery.
Clearer highlight of which tree part is highlighted + branches are easier to select.
Grass will spread more slowly to new tiles and it will grow slower in the beginning.
Poison Arrows are now made with flint arrows. Two new poison arrows have been added, and they require iron arrows instead. These can only be crafted at stations.
Balanced the price of arrows. It was based on the ingredients but didn't take into account
that you craft several at a time.
Glowing bugs can now give up to 15 extra skill points, not unlimited.
You can now stack Glowing Bugs up to 5, instead of just 1.
Sheltered status effect has a more specific percentage and you can now have stronger shelter as well.
New trees will spawn when revisiting areas.
Added missing particle effects to placed torches.
If the player wants to experiment with translations, this should work better now, but language-specific characters can still go missing.
Torches go out when drowning as well.
Eggs give 15% satiation instead of 12. Beetles 4, instead of 3.
This patch fixes the following:
Fixed some inconsistency and clunkiness where the player ended turn by trying to perform
actions which cost more than the current AP.
Fixed an issue in which dungeon would be saved as totally empty areas, which caused crashes
as soon as the player tried to move. Previously empty caves will re-gen and should work just fine.
Fix a glitch in which the player got endless lilypad flowers.
Fixed an issue in which enemies chose the wrong attack spot in the player's grid, making them less dangerous.
You can no longer raft through docks.
When searching for coal or harvesting certain animals (like Nightmares) you will no longer get overstacked items.
When selecting a tree to harvest, the menu will no longer appear empty occasionally.
That is it for now! =)
This stuff really makes the Mirk feel more alive and there is so much more to discover out there now!
As always: Should this patch cause anything unforeseen, I stand very ready for a hot fix, so just let me know!
A billion thanks for your support, feedback and patience!
Best wishes and lots of love! <3
