📢 Inquisitor Shepherd - April Devlog
Hello everyone,
This is NarrowDeep, the developers of Inquisitor Shepherd.
This month, our team has achieved significant business milestones to expand the world of Inquisitor Shepherd, alongside the development of core systems that will add even more depth to the game.
We are excited to share our latest progress and news about our new partnership.
🔔 April Development Highlights
New Choice System Completed: We have implemented the 'Purity/Fracture' system, where the world changes based on the protagonist's values.
New Character Introductions: Meet 'Aria Temes,' the passionate officer, and 'Spiky Bibi,' a mysterious girl shrouded in riddles, both joining the fray in Chapter 2.
Global Publishing Contract Signed: We have officially partnered with 'Neverland Entertainment' for our launch in Greater China and Japan.
Release Schedule Adjustment: To ensure high-quality localization and participation in international exhibitions, the official release has been rescheduled to Q1 2027.
🎮 Detailed Development Progress
1. New Choice System: 'Purity' and 'Fracture'
(Until the ending of Chapter 1, this remains locked as shown on the screen, and Shepherd’s reactions will be similar to the 'Purity' state.)
(After the judgment in Chapter 1, your disposition will be revealed, and you can check your current status via Shepherd’s smartphone.)
Development for Chapter 2 is proceeding smoothly. We’d like to introduce a core mechanic unique to Inquisitor Shepherd that will be fully implemented starting from Chapter 2. Shepherd’s values and philosophy will now evolve based on your choices and judgment results.
Purity: The path of becoming a powerful and noble 'Messenger of God' who follows Crium and eradicates heresy.
Fracture: The path of becoming a 'Prophet' who distrusts the system and reality, seeking to forge a path toward the truth.
This system is not just about changing lines of dialogue; it will serve as the major branching point that drastically affects gameplay and the final ending. This mechanic triggers after the ending of Chapter 1—look forward to seeing how it reshapes your journey.
2. New Character Introductions
We are revealing new characters that will add density to the narrative. (In-game scenes attached)
Aria Temes
A passionate holy police officer newly appointed to Hoshi. She is clumsy but tries her best—but could her excessive enthusiasm be a front to hide suspicious movements?
Spiky Bibi
A mysterious girl whose words are completely incomprehensible.
Be warned, however—for in this world, the only language that cannot be understood is the 'Language of Heresy.'
🌐 Global Expansion & Publishing News
1. Partnership with 'Neverland Entertainment'
We have signed a publishing agreement with Neverland Entertainment, a specialist in the Greater China and Japanese markets. Through this collaboration, we are currently working on Chinese (Simplified/Traditional) and Japanese localization. We are also preparing to participate in major overseas game events such as BitSummit (Japan) and WePlay (China).
2. Official Release Schedule Adjustment
To ensure a more polished global launch, we have adjusted the official release schedule.
Original: October 2026
Revised: Q1 2027
The original plan was based solely on Korean language development without additional international events. However, with the addition of multi-language localization and a global exhibition tour, we have inevitably decided to push back the date. Since this revised schedule account for various development variables, we promise to be fully prepared before Q1 2027. We sincerely apologize for the delay and will do our absolute best to repay your patience with an even better game.
✨ Closing Notes
As we prepare to meet global players, Inquisitor Shepherd is growing every day. While our hearts are heavy delivering news of a delay, we will focus all our efforts on the game's core quality so that this extra time is not wasted.
Thank you once again for your unwavering support. We will be back next month with even more solid updates.
Thank you.
