Hello, everyone. We’re Prefabot Games.
We know many of you have been waiting—impatiently, even—and trust us, we feel the same way. We’ve been working day and night, hoping to meet you as soon as possible.
While you wait, we'd like to give you a clearer view of what we’re building. From now on, we’ll be sharing regular Dev Logs to keep you updated on our progress and to introduce different parts of the game.
Today, we want to start with one of the most important—and most dangerous—systems in our game: Food and Calix.
In Desserted, food is the foundation of everything. But food here is not just food.
Food is a goal, a resource, a risk—and a storytelling device, all at once.
🍽 Food×Calix×God
The rules are simple—and brutal:
Eat food → gain Calix
Offer Calix to the Calix God
Survive together with your team
That’s the core objective of the game: Travel to different worlds with your teammates, search for food, and offer Calix to the god.
🧍 Your Body Is Your Stats
We didn’t want Calix to be just a number, so we built them directly into the player’s body.
Eat more → you grow bigger
Don't eat anything → thin but flexible
Imagine this:
You’re well-fed and heavy.
Your teammate is way below average, standing beside you.
When danger strikes, your teammates can run faster than you do.
But you can take more hits.
Sometimes, being a little heavier really can save your life.
🍰 Food Is More Than “Food”
Since eating is the core action, food itself has to matter.
In Desserted, there’s a wide variety of food—some relatively normal, and others… clearly not quite normal.
Today, we want to introduce two special foods.
🌋 Lava Shroom Burger
A dessert that’s still slowly erupting.
It periodically spews lava that lingers on the ground, dealing continuous damage—so be careful.
But as the saying goes, high risk means high reward.
One bite might give you enough Calix for an entire day.
🏰 Castle Cake
A fairytale castle cursed by a god and compressed into cake form.
You can find it by following the sound of a childhood melody.
After eating it, people around you may start dancing—or turn into adorable little animals.
Try throwing it at the monster chasing you. Will it start dancing too?
⚠️ Foods are not Items—But “Events”
These special foods aren’t just tools. They are living, dynamic events.
Rare
Unstable
Full of surprises
You can use them to prank teammates, fight monsters, or escape impossible situations—or you might lose control entirely because you got greedy.
