What we’ve done and our next steps
Hello everyone! We are Team Heuristic Forge.
Our goal is always to make games that truly connect with our players. Today, we want to share what we’ve been doing since our launch and our vision for the future.
The KatanaHime project started in March 2025. Our goal was simple: to tell the story of Khara and her sword. We initially thought a shorter story would make development easier, but we quickly learned that making even a simple narrative game is quite a challenge.
After launching KatanaHime, we were so happy with your amazing support. We added things like seasonal themes and BeatSlash to say thank you. But we realized these updates aren't enough to show everything we want to do. So, we are now moving on to our next project
During the early stages of our new project, we tried some prototyping. We explored new worlds like medieval and magical fantasy. But after talking it over, we decided to stay with and expand the KatanaHime universe instead.
The world of KatanaHime is a city where Heroes, Villains, Magical Girls, and Witches all live together. It is a place where big battles and peaceful, funny daily life happen at the same time. In KatanaHime, we wanted to show a small part of that life. like how a "dangerous villain" like Khara is actually very kind to children.
In our next project, we want to dive deeper into this world with more charming characters and great stories. We are moving forward step by step, testing and improving our new ideas.
We can’t wait to show you this new adventure. Thank you so much for playing our first story. Your support is our greatest motivation. We will be back (soon) with more news!
See you again! Best regards,
Team Heuristic Forge
