As Dethlam Prison's new clerk, your job is simple: keep the contraband out and the "authorized" goods flowing. But in this facility, security isn't just about knives and drugs, it’s about keeping the shadows at bay.
The Core Loop
Every day, a series of packages are fed to your desk on a tread. Your duty is to inspect the incoming mail and make sure it's up to code.
Inspect: Crack open boxes and compare items against a shifting rulebook.
Approve: If it’s clean, suck it up via the Vacuum Tube
Reject: Spot a hidden blade or an unholy sigil? Toss it into the Incinerator.
The Weight of the Stamp
This isn't just bureaucracy, it’s a moral meat-grinder. You’ll frequently face a choice: follow orders or follow your conscience. Some packages contain ritual artifacts or cursed relics. Handling them or worse, letting them pass invites demonic repercussions that stain your soul and the rest of the prison.
Do you incinerate a desperate prisoner’s only letter from home because it violates a minor rule? Doing your job keeps you safe, but "doing the right thing" might just be what triggers a dark ritual you aren't prepared for...
Every choice is a sacrifice and the incinerator burns more than just paper.
