Hello people of the Unseen!
It's yet again that time of the month where I would usually blabber on about what me and Winston have been up to...
...but it so happens I found a box parked on my doorstep this morning.
The box had a letter, I don't know who wrote it, or why the writer sent me a box of what seems like classified documents, but the note sure as hell wasn't a lovely one.
Here's what it said:
"I don't know if you will receive this one, but I'm almost out of time.
I managed to take more of these documents from R&D, but I fear they'll catch on to what I'm doing soon.
I don't have much, but this seems like some real heavy stuff this time, no more letters about bug eyed cats or anything, this is the REAL deal.
Incident reports, crap about Project Angler, all of it, it's here.
I need you to keep this safe, don't let them find you, don't let them know you're part of this, they're looking for the leaker and I don't want you to get hurt.
Please stay safe, and find a way to get this info out safely.
These psychopaths can't win.
- D"
...any ideas what that means? I dunno to be honest, but I'm sure we can take a detour from our adventure with Winston to read some of these... "documents".
Let's have a gander!
CLASSIFIED DOCUMENT: ZELTRINX/2.0 (PROJECT ANGLER)
"The creature you see before you is Zeltrinx, formally known as "2.0".
2.0 was where Project Angler hit it's peak, where flesh and bone met steel and spark.
2.0 has no organic organs.
No heart, no liver, no lungs, only machines that all hum and whirl in unison, wrapped within a bag of hard, resistant skin.
Bones are rods, eyes are cameras, and the brain is a small supercomputer that can only hold so much data.
This thing is a testament to how far science has gone, and the beasts that come after this will only get worse.
While not a threat under normal means, if provoked Zeltrinx WILL NOT hesitate to defend itself.
How we made this, or how it's still breathing right now is up to complete luck.
It by all means, SHOULD be dead...
...and that's why it's perfect for the August presentation.
And thus, it will be the 2.0 experiment from here on out."
Yikes, imagine living with a bunch of metal inside of you... that would suck!
Anyways, what else is in here... I need a refresher after that...
Here's another one... uh, a contract by the looks of it, comes with a neat manual too.

Varuna Technologies™: Putting the "fun" in functional!"
Yuck, legal mumbo jumbo... that wasn't refreshing at all!
Though, it does beg the question... why would such a big company need machines from another one?
I dunno, maybe I'm just too dumb for this legal bullcrap.
What else is in here...? All of this is kinda dull.
...
Ooh, this looks interesting... something about the Rig Mines.
THE RIG MINES FLOODING SITUATION: A RESPONSE
"Dear Maintenance Team workers assigned to the Rig Mines.
I've received many reports from all of you, and I've decided it's time to talk.
The aforementioned reports are in relation to the flooding currently occurring within the Rig Mines due to the recent incident with the Hydroworks.
I understand this situation is making it difficult to continue work out there, and as such, I have asked R&D to figure out a solution.
Our current idea is to install better drainage systems within the flooded areas of the mines.
The water from up higher would drain down through the currently flooded sections, and along an artificial river that would cut through the rock and eventually drain out into the lake where the water used to flow out to.
For now however, you all must hang tight and continue work as normal.
Rest assured, we will figure this out."
These don't get better do they? They're all like this huh?
That "lake" sounds kinda interesting though.
Alright, one more document... there's a lot here so I'll have to read more of these out in the next dive.
Ooh! A document about toa-

> REBOOTING...
Are you there? Can you see this?
Did you hear any of the stuff about the toast? No?! Well what's even the point then!
Ugh, I think that's enough for now.
I think I gotta burn these documents man, they're just depressing.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay okay, breaking character for a moment here, I wanna say now that this is the end of the dive.
All of the stuff here was hinting at what will happen in some of Chapter III's second half, in the Rig Mines.
Next dive will be part 2 of this mystery.
That's right! This is the first two parter dive.
So, I hope you all enjoyed this, because I sure as hell did! This was a blast to write!
But for now, thank you to the community for their continued support as always, and I hope to see you all again next month, when we take these documents to be incinerated!
Have fun with Depths Unseen!
