Hi everyone !
First of, thank you very much to everyone who played the game, I'm glad it seems to be enjoyed by most of you.
I've kept track of the feedback I received, and decided to update the game to version 1.1.0.
To commemorate this new update, the game will the on sale for the duration of the Steam Winter Sale 2025 at -33%.
What's new ?
Controller support
This has been a feature heavily requested, so I worked into implementing it. From my testing the gameplay works very well and the game is actually way easier to play with a controller than with the mouse. Please give it a try.
To pump the eggplant use R2/RT, to slow time use L2/LT. Menus are navigated with the directional arrows and A/X or B/O to accept.
The game should be compatible with most controllers on the market.
Linux support
To go with the controller support, I took sometime to make the game compatible with Linux so it could be played on the SteamDeck. I have tested using ArchLinux as a base so it should work perfectly.
Please don't hesitate to send me feedback, I'm not used to the platform so I may have missed things.
More cutscenes
I added more cutscenes to fill in some gaps in the progression. You should see repeat cutscenes less often now. If you already had the "Unlock all cutscenes" achievement, you keep it, if you didn't, well now it's gonna be a bit harder.
What else ?
Various bugfixes (didn't keep track of them).
Reworked options in the settings, mostly to accommodate changes in the game.
Typo fixes, especially in French (I'm ashamed).
Improved Spanish translation, to be honest when I released the game it was not complete yet.
Now a sound will play when you get low on time accumulated for the Slow Time feature.
New alternative Slow Time controls. These controls ask you to press once to activate time slow, then press again to stop it. It fits better with the stopwatch aesthetic of the feature, but it's disabled by default, you can activate it in the options.
More achievements, and the Master Combo achievement reduced to 20x combo instead of 30x. It was technically possible to do the old one, but way too annoying since a single mistake would make you wait for the timer to end before being able to try again.
What now ?
I don't exclude the possibility of doing more update for this game, but I've actually been hard at work on another game : Space-Time Destroying Wizard.
It is a puzzle game based around the ability to "freeze" objects in space-time, allowing them to retain their status across level resets. You can expect the same kind of wacky story as Enlarge your Eggplant, but with a more fleshed out gameplay. Do not hesitate to take a look, and wishlist if the game peeks your interest. I plan to release a playtest demo sometime soon.
Thank you everyone, and keep enlarging your eggplants.
