Our mantra has been simple with these patches: fail fast. We're making big changes and doing them quickly in this Demo to learn as much as we can, some things may break or be buggy but at least we'll catch them now quickly instead of later down the line.
Features:
Fatigue damage now scales faster
Camera zoom for combat is now a lot smoother
All Enchantments got some new amazing art!
Units:
Toy Turret: now has rarity 1 instead of 4
(mainly for its interaction with Portal)
Unstable Tesla Coil: cooldown increase from 0.7s to 0.9s, damage also increased accordingly. Now splits its damage across the 3 units it targets.
Power Plant: now only activates when you have at least 5 friendly Town units with a cooldown
(this seems like an elegant solution to stop the hard-forcing of getting a single Mechanic to 0.1s cooldown, without ruining its initial flavor or design)
Gym: has now become a Post Office instead and got some nice art!
Bugs:
Jumpstarter + Supercharger combo would trigger multiple times
Duplication bug (inventory version)
Eternal Bonfire (and a bunch of other units) not properly applying the speed buff
Weather machine now shows correct damage
Issues caused by the new projectile system (registering hits and units)
Fatigue system bugging out
Board not fully saving when it's being loaded in while in pause menu (this leads to random units disappearing later in the run)
Superchargers could trigger more/less with The Pillar
Fortune Teller now properly highlights Magic/Ancient units
Powerline now properly registers as a start of combat
Tinker quest can no longer give Toy Turret
Inventory UI more stable
Other:
Improved resource handling (to fix random units disappearing or boards crashing)
We'll see if this fixes most issues, if not I need to make bigger changes to the code. This could take a few more days, but I think the root cause has been addressed.
Reduced the rating of people abusing bugs to climb the loaderboard
Bugs happen... a lot. And I don't blame anyone for suddenly having a crazy board because of it. But when people are obviously and repeatedly exploiting these bugs to ruin the experiences of others, they will get repercussions. Right now it's just a slight rating decrease.
Blue background behind encounters is now slightly more saturated
Music no longer stops when you leave the main menu (more soundtrack coming soon!)
