Hello, pumpkins! 🎃
We had the chance to participate on the Choose Wisely Festival where lots of really great streamers got to playtest our game. We've been working really hard on all the feedback that we received, and have updated our demo with some significant changes!
Here’s a list of improvements we applied for demo version 0.2.2:
We replaced every single animation in the game with brand new ones, all hand crafted frame by frame with a Tradigital approach. They are smoother and match the artistic vision of the game a lot better.
We added a new microgame system that brings every interaction in the world to life. It keeps the pacing fresher and makes the whole adventure feel more dynamic.
We built a new dialogue system with expressions, movement, and SFX so conversations feel clearer and a lot more fun to read.
We completely overhauled the collision system to make hits feel much more satisfying.
We added a depth system to make MURKYs world feel more alive and grounded.
We wrote new dialogue lines to guide players more naturally through the quests.
We also made around twenty smaller improvements based directly on the feedback from our Discord community. Thank you so much for all your support, we love you all.
We added a new set of portraits to match the style and energy of the new animations.
Thank you so much to everyone who has taken the time to try our demo and give us feedback. Believe us when we say that we consider you part of our team! As always, don't forget to follow us in our
steam community or through our Discord to get the newest updates on Murky.
If you still haven't played the demo, now's your change! You can download it for free here.
Happy holidays, little pumpkins! We will see you next year. 🤖
