v1.2.0.0 - String Objects are HERE!!

Hello RTBers,

The next release is here with the biggest change being the addition of String Objects. I’ll be making a tutorial video on how this works soon, but until then be sure to read the brief notes in the Help file (F1) and maybe check out some old BTB youtube videos of what they provide.

For people familiar with String Objects from BTB you will already know what to expect. There have been some improvements with a couple of refinements on how objects and their vertices can be lowered to the ground. In addition I spent a couple of days working to make the code multi-threaded so they are a bit quicker to calculate.

The interface also updates really quickly so you can move the nodes around fast and the background, multithreaded task will recalculate the String Object. The function to align a string object with the track is not yet ready, but I didn’t want to hold up this release any longer – with Steam, updates are really simple so once it’s ready I’ll make that available too.

There will be more XPack content added over the coming weeks and I’ll be making several tutorial videos explaining XPacker in greater detail.

The official list of changes:
- Added String Objects.
- Improved texture of Rumble Strips.
- FIX: Track export to AC now splits into multiple sub-objects if vertex count exceeds 65535.
- FIX: AC export now flips the X value for the Normal to match flipping of Position X value.
- FIX: Bump mapping on objects now displayed correctly.

Enjoy!
