Exploring Dicefall means keeping your eyes open. A forgotten coin in the dirt, materials in a dark corner, or an old recipe that someone lost and never picked up again. Whether you find something like that doesn't just depend on your own eyes, but also on how observant your character is.
Items in the game world now shimmer briefly every few seconds. Sounds simple, but there's a catch: Not everyone sees the same thing.
With an average Perception skill, the effect remains subtle. Spotting loot? Possible, but you really have to look closely:

Increase your character's Perception, and things look completely different:

The same item, the exact same spot. Just a higher Perception value.
And that’s exactly what Dicefall is about for me: Your build shouldn’t just be a meaningless number in a menu. It changes how you move through the world, what you notice, and what you just blindly walk past.
But high Perception won't do all the work for you: Truly hidden things remain invisible until you've earned them (e.g. through exploration, asking the right questions in dialogues, or a successful skill check).
If you want to see what's coming next (and for +1 Perception): Add Dicefall to your wishlist. It helps me out a ton!
Until next time!
