When you think about survival, there are many options: forest, desert, abandoned city.
But for me, the island is a special place.
There is no way out.
The horizon only reminds you that somewhere far away there is a world, but for you it no longer exists.
An island is both a prison and freedom.
You have nowhere to run, but you have an entire world to tame.
I chose the island because it instantly makes you feel loneliness, anxiety, and hope.
It is beautiful and hostile. Almost alive.
And that is the feeling I want to give the player: you are alone against nature, but you haven’t lost yet.
Question for you:
Which setting makes you feel the survival atmosphere more strongly — an island, a wild forest, or a post-apocalyptic city?
