UNDER THE MAP BUG FIXED!
I know the under the map bug was really annoying & I was also annoyed trying to fix. I had decided to fully convert the player controller back to its original system it has before the demo released. No more under the map bug from now on! (Hopefully lol)
SWAMP MONSTER CHANGES
You may have noticed the swamp monster now has a brand-new model! The old model was always going to be replaced & this new model is way better. The monster also now uses root-motion animation to drive the AI pathfinding, giving a more realistic movement to him. Many of his behavior states have been improved such as stare-down, fleeing, roaming, shack door interactions & more.
FLASHLIGHT
The flashlight has been improved based off feedback & now will last 2x longer!
INTERACTIVE TUTORIAL
I agree that the original tutorial wasn't the best & did not really explain what to do very well, which is why I scrapped it & made a completely new tutorial which is interactive! The new tutorial can be access on the main menu now & will walk players through the gameplay while being in a safe environment from harm to allow the player to learn with peace of mind. The interactive tutorial will be Improved too in future.
NEW ANOMALIES & LOCATION
2 new anomaly types have been introduced being Audio & Jump scare anomalies. A new location River Bay has been added to the cameras too making a total of 7 locations.
UPGRADE SHACK
The upgrade shack now has upgrades that are unique to modes being the Mini supply create in Anomaly Research.
There is so much added to this update to make the demo better & more up to date with development of the full release. With all that said be mindful that some bugs may have slipped under my radar but will be fixed if found! I also wanted to mention I have plans for a grace period before the start of games, allowing players to get to the upgrade shack safely & return to start their shift when they are ready. This will most like come in a later update to the demo.
Thank you & I hope you enjoy the new demo!
