Lugal: Bronze Age Survival Craft at Games Gathering Kyiv 2025!
Lugal: Bronze Age Survival Craft made its mark at the 10th anniversary of Games Gathering Kyiv 2025, showcased in the bustling indie zone alongside 25 tables of other Ukrainian indie gems!
Over two intense days, fellow devs and players flocked non-stop to our survival craft build. More than 50 people dove in, delivering invaluable feedback - a hit list of 20 fixes we're tackling right away. Discussions buzzed with survival and co-op fans, who were blown away that this ambitious project is made by just solo-dev with freelance artist help.
The night before, ballistic missiles and drones lit up the sky, robbing us of sleep - but the show went on! Amid late autumn gloom, the generator-powered hotel felt like a cozy beacon of light and warmth for two full days.
Wishlists were modest, but I (Tea & Cake Games dev) chatted live with every signee. The main hall hosted heavyweights like Stalker 2 (GSC Game World), Global Game Jam, and even ZSU VR stands for training: shotgun blasts at FPV drones, Browning fire on Shaheds, and Matador grenades on enemy tanks!
Games Gatherins is annual dev conf which draws gamedevs: pros, newbies, coders, artists, HR, and managers. It grew up to reach 2-3k attendees in peak years; this wartime 10th anniversary drew ~1200. War is war.
