Hello Commanders, and welcome to the first ever AXERAS Devlog!
Before we begin, I’d like to apologize (again) for the radio silence since the beginning of this year. And yes, I want to acknowledge that we promised the release of our Prologue Demo, the first time was scheduled for November 2025, and then we delayed it to April 2026. I know I’ve let you down twice, and you have my deepest apologies.
I also owe everyone here an explanation and update to what we’ve been up to, so let me begin:
We first appeared on the radar when we launched our Steam page in conjunction with our Tokyo Game Show booth in September 2025. We definitely did have a lot of fun, as you can see in the photos:

Setting fun aside, our experience boothing in TGS gave us our very first hands on experience having a build playtested by the Japanese gaming community. We found many issues in gameplay, and they made the starter levels less engaging than we’d expected, which came as a punch in the face. Being the perfectionist that I am, I couldn’t easily let this slide, so I engaged my entire team into redesigning the tutorial from the ground up.
The starter levels we now have are hopefully more engaging than the original build (which nobody except the early playtesters who visited us during TGS experienced, haha). It is also, I feel, the best that we could do, given the limited implementation time we could afford.
Then, we attended the Taipei Game Show in January 2026 for a sanity check.

Many Taiwanese gamers told us that they were really looking forward to our game, and it made me really happy to hear that. Taiwanese gamers have also been amazing in pointing out UI issues with our game, so again we continued implementing UI quality of life issues.
We also attended some local events and did smaller exhibitions like our local Indie Jam, because more playtesters = more feedback.

On the 4th of July, we launched a Closed Prologue Demo Playtest with 25 members of the community. The playtest lasted for a month and is now closed. I just want to say, you guys rock and thank you for participating! We hope you liked what you saw from your first taste of the game still in WIP state. Your feedback was the key to further improving some mechanics and UI quality of life.
Also, just for fun, this is a comparison between how our earliest Build looked like vs. now:

Big difference, huh?
It was always a struggle to deliver quality. And I do not want to sacrifice quality to rush this. So we did take a bit of time. But I’d say that my team and I have learnt a lot, and we’re now ready to deliver this quality to you.
Two pieces of big news:
We reached 20,000 wishlists!

To each and every single one of you who wishlisted our game, thank you so much for your support! This means a lot to us, and I want to do an even better job making a good game!
Also, Prologue Demo Public Release: Somewhere in End October 2026 to Mid November 2026.
I don’t want to let anyone down again, so rest assured that this is a do-or-die time frame for us. It. Will. Happen. However, the exact date will be confirmed later on once I can nail down a solid schedule. Because we are committed to delivering the demo with full Japanese voice acting, we are carefully coordinating schedules with Japanese voice actors and other related partners involved in the production. Due to this, the exact release date will be announced later once we have finalized preparations.
This will be fully voiced in Japanese, and will come together with Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese localizations first, and then Spanish, German, French, Russian, Ukrainian localizations.
I’ll also be starting my bi-weekly devlog. Next week, I’ll introduce the fundamentals of combat in AXERAS, and touch the surface on our special system called the Capture system.
