# LMTS — EA Patch 5
Patch 4 fixed the foundation. Patch 5 is where the world starts to speak.
Three new bosses take their places across the three areas, and the whole game found its voice. Enemies roar, react, and breathe now. The moments that commit you land with weight. If the game felt a little quiet before, this is the patch that fills it in.
## Sound & Feel — the headline
- **The three area bosses have full voices.** Entrance roars, reactions when you land a hit, and low idle sounds while they wait out your turn. They feel present in the room now, not just on the screen.
- **Enemy special moves finally make sound.** Every enemy's skill and special-move animation used to play silent — a bug that had been there a long time. Now they land with the audio they always should have had. (Lostfallen's laugh when she winds up a skill is a favorite.)
- **Enemy grunts now vary.** Entrances, getting hit, winding up an attack — the pitch, volume, and timing shift each time, so the same enemy never sounds like a looping tape.
- **Enemies now grunt as they start their attacks** — a small tell you can feel coming.
- **New creature sounds** across the roster, including bats, bears, and clawstalkers.
- **Fixed a class of audio hitching.** Short sound effects now fire instantly, with no stumble at the front of the sound.
- **A proper gong on the moments that commit you.** HEAD OUT from town, and New Game / Continue on the save slots. It used to be almost silent — now it lands.
## New: Three Bosses
Three new bosses, one for each of the three areas. Two hold the open areas; the third waits in a dungeon. None of them are stat checks. Each one asks you to change how you play, not just hit harder.
- **Lostfallen** (first area) — Reflects damage back at attackers whenever she's struck, so swinging blindly punishes you. Skill cards wilt her thorns instead of feeding them. Read the turn before you commit.
- **Frost Soulkeeper** (second area, the snowy peaks) — An ice barrier soaks every hit down to 1 damage. Each hit chips a layer away with a crystalline shatter, and fire and burn cards crack it faster. Break every layer and you open a Thaw window where she takes 1.5x damage — but she hits hard while exposed and rebuilds the barrier on her next turn. And she'll freeze the cards in your hand while you work.
- **Liratechor, the Judge** (third area, a dungeon boss) — Presides over the fight and passes Judgment, dealing damage that escalates the longer the fight runs. Her behavior shifts as her health falls, so the fight you start is not the fight you finish.
## Cards & Combat
- **Sword tiers, across the board.** Every Berserker attack card now sits on a sword-tier ladder. Upgrade the blade and the whole line of attacks scales with it.
- **Puncture now grows with your sword tier** instead of sitting still.
- **Two new cards** join the town deck and world pool: **Hunter's Mark** and **Scrap Shot**.
## Animations
The Berserker has new attack animations, replacing a few older ones that weren't holding the quality bar. As we move through Early Access, expect animations to keep shifting around, getting replaced, and improving. I'd rather swap something the moment it stops meeting the bar than leave it in.
## Visual Fixes
- **Lostfallen no longer changes size** when she switches between attacking and casting. She used to "zoom" in and out between animations; she's pinned to one consistent scale now.
- **Lostfallen's idle sway keeps her feet planted** instead of making her look like she's floating. Her upper body sways; the ground stays under her.
## Stability
- **Fixed the boss "freeze" bug** where a boss could lock up motionless for an entire fight. The cube fight was the worst offender, and it's dead now.
- **Various stability and reliability fixes** across the board.
## What's Next
Next patch keeps sharpening the new bosses' mechanics and starts tuning some of the existing bosses too, while we add more. How many new ones, I'm not sure yet, so stay tuned. If it all goes well, the next one shapes up as another big boss patch — and further out, the road toward the next class. Beyond that I've got bigger plans I'm excited about, but nothing I want to promise yet. It's Early Access, so a lot can still change, but that's the current plan.
## Notes
If you find something off, tell me on Discord or through the in-game bug/suggestion button. Every report this patch shaped what got fixed. More enemies and bosses on the way — what do you want to see next?
EA is €13.31 until July 9 — after that it's €14.79.
And if you've been playing: a short review — even two sentences — is the single most useful thing you can do for LMTS right now. Not asking you to love it. Just tell Steam you played it.
