Hello everyone!
Sorry for the wait—it's been a while since our last update. Over this period, we've been steadily pushing forward with game content development, and have made comprehensive improvements to combat, exploration, cutscene direction, interface controls, and overall performance.
Currently, the main story content for the first three chapters of SPARK IGNITES is complete. Based on our internal estimates, experiencing all three chapters from start to finish should take around 15 hours or so (based on our own playtests). Actual playtime may vary depending on how thoroughly you explore, your party composition, and your playstyle.
However, we also want to be upfront with you: the game is still not in its final form, and there is still plenty of content that needs to be added and polished. Below, we'd like to share what we've accomplished recently, as well as our upcoming development plans. We warmly invite you to try it out and share your feedback.

Main Story for Chapters 1–3 Is Now Complete
The first three chapters now form a relatively complete gameplay loop, including story, exploration, combat, character interactions, and accompanying cutscene content.
We've further refined companion movement, character dialogue, and town cutscenes, allowing characters to more naturally enter their performance positions and continue moving as the story demands. We've also optimized certain cutscenes, scene transition speed, and how quest progress affects scene objects and character states.
In addition, we've addressed a number of issues that affected the story experience, including abnormal quest prompts and step displays, camera issues after combat, and cases where players couldn't continue operating after certain boss battles. We hope these changes make the main story progression feel smoother.

Music and Sound Effects Are Still Being Polished
Regarding the sound effects that many of you have been concerned about—since they're not fully complete yet, we've included over one hundred sound effects that have passed review in this update. We'll continue to improve the rest in future updates.
Music production is also partially complete, but we haven't had time yet to refine details like transitions and pacing. We plan to hold off on releasing new music until everything is fully polished and ready.
On the audio front, we've enhanced dynamic music layering and transitions, added footstep sounds for different terrain types, and further refined combat and story cutscene audio to make BGM transitions smoother and more natural.
New Regions and Exploration Content
On the exploration side, we've added and improved a number of features:
Refined the map interface, minimap icons, quest prompts, and objective markers.
Optimized scene exits and map teleportation flow.
Improved fishing spots, the protagonist's fishing animation, and lantern visuals in dark areas.
Fixed issues with certain chests, scene resources, collision, and blocking.
We hope these adjustments make exploration feel more rewarding while reducing confusion caused by unclear map guidance and bumpy scene transitions.

Combat Building System
Combat building is currently a key focus area in our development.
At this stage, we've completed the core functionality for combat building and expanded the "Star Resonance" system along with other combat mechanics. The current system now supports more effects triggered by status stacks, turn cycles, and specific combat conditions.
We've also further refined mechanics such as damage, healing, action point adjustments, taunts, skill restrictions, persistent status effects, status removal, and target selection.
In terms of combat information and operational experience, we've made the following adjustments:
Optimized the display and presentation of enemy action intent.
Added enemy intent icons, skill effects, and combat sound effects.
Improved control status and status removal mechanics.
Enhanced the visual clarity of grid tiles on the battlefield.
Added entry, death, and defense animations for some characters and enemies.
Improved prompts and feedback for battles that cannot be escaped.
Fixed issues with certain Resonance slots, escape skills, and the formation interface.
These changes lay the groundwork for adding more build varieties in the future. However, the current number of skills, Resonances, equipment, and items is still limited—this is an area we are actively working to expand.

Interface and Controls Experience
We've redesigned the visual style and interaction logic for several interfaces, including dialogue boxes, as well as crafting, cooking, alchemy, and forging UI.
This update also adds equipment stat comparison functionality, and we've optimized the equipment preview and replacement flow. Keyboard and mouse controls, as well as confirm, close, and return operations, have been standardized. We've also added a confirmation prompt before exiting the game.
In addition, we've fixed issues such as interface overlap, inability to return to previous menus, abnormal clicks, and controls becoming unresponsive after resizing the game window.
UI/UX will remain a priority in our ongoing optimization efforts, especially regarding information display and operational flow for the combat building system. As the number of skills, Resonances, equipment, and items grows, we need to ensure players can intuitively understand effects, compare options, and build their parties effectively.
Visuals and Performance Optimization
On the visual side, we've optimized overworld terrain, area transitions, character and scene textures, grass materials, character models, NPC lighting effects, and depth-of-field rendering across different resolutions.
For performance, we've improved game startup, resource scanning, and auto-save processes to reduce waiting times and stuttering during save triggers.
We've also fixed a number of issues, including missing scene resources, model display errors, collision penetration, and save file location errors.

Content Currently in Development
Although the first three chapters of the main story are complete, the current game still suffers from insufficient content variety and build depth. We won't shy away from this—we're actively working to address it.
The foundational systems for combat building are now in place, and we're currently creating more combat skills and effects to enable more distinct build archetypes. Our goal is to give players more choices in character development, party composition, and combat strategy.
In parallel, we're developing supporting content for the combat building system, including:
More combat skills and their effects.
More "Star Resonances" and combination possibilities.
More enemy effects and special affixes.
New items and equipment.
Richer build archetypes and progression paths.
UI and information display related to combat building.
Overall UI/UX operation and interaction optimization.
All of these are closely interconnected and require repeated iteration and testing. We want new skills, Resonances, equipment, and items to not just increase in number, but to genuinely open up different strategic possibilities and build options.
Next Major Version Plan
We're planning to spend approximately two months working on the next major version. New combat building content will be released alongside the next main story updates.
Please note that this is an estimate based on our current development progress—not a confirmed release date. If anything changes during development or testing, we'll keep you updated promptly.
The current version of SPARK IGNITES is still evolving. We're continuing to push forward with the main story while expanding combat, building, and progression content, and continuing to refine interface, controls, performance, and stability.
Thank you for following a work-in-progress title, and for giving us the time to polish it further. We'll continue to work diligently on development, and we'll share more updates with you as more content becomes ready to show.
