In this update, we focused on your feedback: we added a visual guide for those having trouble getting API keys, completely overhauled the offline translation engine, and made a small but effective touch that makes daily use easier.
One-Click Language Swap
In Quick Translate Mode 1 and 2, we added a swap button between the source and target language boxes. A single click swaps the two languages. (The button remains disabled when the source language is set to "Auto Detect", as an undetected language cannot be swapped.)
Visual Guide for API Key
We know you struggle with the API key retrieval process. Now there is a "How to get?" button on the settings page of each provider. When clicked, a step-by-step visual guide opens:
At each step, the layout of that screen, a flashing highlight and cursor over where you need to click
Play / Pause / Forward / Backward controls — proceed at your own pace
The "Open Page" button takes you directly to the correct address; no need to search on a search engine anymore
Available in all 19 languages supported by the app
Offline Translation Engine Rewritten
We have consolidated offline translation into a single, powerful engine. We completely removed the inadequate Argos engine; offline translation now runs exclusively with NLLB and produces much better results:
Missing sentences issue resolved: In texts containing multiple sentences, the engine could completely skip some sentences — without you even noticing. The text is now split into sentences and translated, so no sentence is lost. Moreover, this method works faster.
Language support increased from 104 to 191. We verified all language codes against the model itself.
Wrong language translation error fixed: When some languages like Malay were selected, the translation was silently done into another language. It is now translated into the correct language.
Processor is used more efficiently, translation has visibly sped up.
Fabricated outputs on empty texts, punctuation glitches, and instabilities during concurrent use have been fixed.
Since Argos was removed, the installation size has also shrunk.
