Article Link: Un viaje entre planetas y batallas orbitales: el híbrido estratégico que propone Fortified Space
Kotaku, one of the largest gaming news sites in the industry, recently published an article about Fortified Space in the Spanish-language version of its site! Sadly, I don't understand Spanish, but here are some of the translated excerpts that I really liked, courtesy of Google Translate.
“A new indie project seeks to recapture the essence of the strategy games that dominated the internet years ago. Space combat, base building, and exploration within a spaceship are blended in a game that attempts to combine nostalgia with modern mechanics.”
“Fortified Space offers a unique blend within the strategy genre. The game alternates between intense space battles and surface missions where the objective changes completely…this change of scenery is one of the game's most interesting ideas.”
“The placement of each element is crucial. Some areas of the map can become veritable funnels where enemies are trapped while turrets fire from different angles. This type of planning is reminiscent of the classic tower defense systems that inspired the project.”
Thank you to journalist Mario Lucio for choosing to feature my solo developed passion project. The boost has been massive, and the more interest I get in Fortified Space, the more features I can keep adding during the Early Access phase and beyond. Fortified Space launches into Early Access on March 27, 2026. Wishlist if you haven't yet!
Good hunting,
