This update focuses on the overall run feel, upgrade choices, and wave pacing. Runs should now feel less repetitive, with clearer build direction and better pressure changes during combat.
Gameplay Flow
- Added smarter wave pacing. Strong play can push the next wave into higher pressure, while taking damage can briefly steady the pace.
- Waves now react more to combo, health, and current run pressure, making each run feel less fixed.
- Added short in-game feedback when the next wave becomes harder or slows down.
Upgrade Choices
- Improved upgrade selection logic so fighter-specific upgrades appear more reliably.
- Public mechanics and flow upgrades now have better chances to appear alongside fighter upgrades.
- Existing build direction now matters more when the game rolls future upgrade choices.
Polish
- Added localized text for the new pacing feedback.
- Cleaned up several edge cases in wave and upgrade selection behavior.
