Hi everyone,
We're getting close to finishing Sub-Species, and we've reached the point where we'd really love to make the game available in more languages.
The problem is that we're a tiny two-person team at Howling Hamster Games, and after putting everything we have into making the game, professional localisation is simply beyond our budget.
So, we thought we'd ask the community.
The game has around 4,000 words of dialogue, objectives and UI text, all organised in a localisation spreadsheet. If you're a native speaker of another language and fancy helping us translate Sub-Species, we'd genuinely love to hear from you.
If you help out, we'll make sure you're fully credited in the game, send you a Steam key when it launches, and get you access to builds so you can see your work in-game.
We're especially looking for French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Polish and Russian, but if you'd like to help with another language, we'd be delighted to hear from you.
And please don't feel like you have to translate the whole game. Even helping with a mission or two, or just reviewing some of the text, would make a huge difference.
If you're interested, leave a comment below, join our Discord, or send us a message.
Thanks for reading, and thanks to everyone who's supported Sub-Species so far. We genuinely wouldn't have made it this far without you.
