A week after release, and the first patch is now live! According to some great observations and suggestions from the player community, some things have changed, one thing in particular has been added, and with a little luck, a big thing has been fixed. Let's get into it!
Added:
Tutorial
Now players can learn about the mechanics and get more familiar with how to play with a short, hands-on tutorial!
Please note:
There is an issue with button focus when starting the tutorial. Clicking on the screen when the controls are displayed will break focus, preventing the use of the on-screen selections. If this happens, press Tab on your keyboard until you see the blue selection box appear on the selectable buttons. This will be the next thing I fix, and I apologize for this temporary inconvenience.
Changed:
Movement speed has been increased
Walls are now much less slippery
The loading screen has been redesigned to include a brief intro
Some checkpoints in The Hollow and Blakkendark Depths have been slightly repositioned
Fixed:
Bad texture for one of the ending locations
The fatal error (maybe)
A note about the fatal error:
Despite all of my previous efforts to stop this crash from happening, it keeps rearing it's ugly head time after time. This time, I hope it has been fixed. If it happens to you after installing this update, you can reach me here in the comments or on my Bluesky page. I'm starting to see a need for setting up a Steam community forum and Discord server, so keep an eye out for announcements for when those go live.
That's everything for now! Game on, gamers. I'll see you in the next update!
