DevConnect: June Preview

Hello all!
 
In an effort to keep DevConnect topics coming out at regular intervals and ensure that the subject matter is relevant to the community, we’re changing up the scope of the series. Going forward, DevConnect topics will serve as monthly previews, giving players an opportunity to glimpse what we have planned on the horizon for the following month. We encourage all of you to continue using these topics to provide your feedback on our monthly calendar, or anything you feel we’re missing that needs to be addressed.
 
We hope you’ll find this DevConnect format more useful and certainly a more consistent, reliable communication channel. With that said, here’s a look at what should be on everyone’s radar for June.

Events

It’s WildStar’s third birthday! To commemorate the occasion, the Starfall Anniversary Celebration starts June 1 and runs through June 30, featuring four week-long events and free login rewards throughout the month! View full details in the Starfall preview article.

Game Updates

Game update 1.7.2 arrives on June 7 and introduces Prime Raids with Prime 1 Y-83.

PTR Test Schedule

Keep an eye out for the return of Communities to the PTR in early June. We’re making some updates to the feature based on feedback we’ve received thus far and look forward to additional player testing.

Livestreams

• Double XP X-Plosion Dev Plays: Friday, June 24
  • With the X-Plosion circling around again during Starfall, Pappy and Conguero will seek to continue their leveling adventures and create a guild for the faithful among you to join.

The Future of Events & Chases

As we announced on livestream last Friday, May 26, we’re planning to update some of our in-game events and how they’re run in the future. A lot of players have been asking about Chase events and awaiting info from us, so before we make any event changes, we’re going to be running all Chases one last time beginning in July. We’ll have more details on the upcoming event changes to share in the last week of June, as well as the July schedule of Chase events.
