Thank you for helping STREET DOG LEGEND reach 50+ reviews!
Steam has rewarded us with a "VERY POSITIVE" tag on our storefront. Incredible!
As a special thanks to all you doggers out there, I'm happy to provide a sneak peek at what's coming for the major 2.0 update!
Some things are better left as a surprise, so this list won't be comprehensive - but I hope it gets you excited :)
SAVE SLOTS
That's right - no more playing 28 days straight several times in a row to experiment with the story! Save scumming is finally here!
STREET DOG LEGEND now has 3 save slots, which can hold the autosaves for each day of your playthrough that you can reload. You can also copy one slot over to the next if you want to try out different paths.
Existing saves will be migrated to slot 1. YIPPEE!
QUARTERLY DOG #3
Despite their expeditious cancellation, a third issue of the Quarterly Dog has found its way into Tony's possession! That means an entirely new suite of upgrades available for your cart!
Some upgrades include:
A second line of customers for you freaks that aren't serving enough dogs.
An intimidating man named Paulie who collects tips
A hot dog grill - as if the bun grill wasn't stressful enough.
And more!
A RADIO
Everyone loves the upbeat jazz of STREET DOG LEGEND, but what if you want cute pop music, or intense techno, or perhaps one hour straight of public domain AM talk shows from the 1950s?
Look no further - a working radio is here! After playing each location once (Uptown, Riverside, Park, and Downtown), a radio appears in your apartment, where you can set your music preference for your workdays.
BATTLE MODE?
Obviously, for any game to be successful, they need to be massive multiplayer online extraction PVP shooters with battle passes and ranked matchmaking. So, in order to chase financial success, STREET DOG LEGEND is entering the foray with its own BATTLE MODE.
With our concurrent player base averaging around - oh, wait, what? It's 1 player per day? Well... uh... okay, ignoring that... you can now go head-to-head against other doggers and see who's best!
With ranks and Steam based matchmaking, invite-only friend matches, bot matches, and character customization, make a name for yourself as a STREET DOG LEGEND across the world!
You may be asking - why the hell would you make a multiplayer mode in a hot dog game? To which I answer, I really, really don't know, but it's pretty funny.
MORE STUFF!
Lots of bug fixes, quality of life features, and maybe some more features I haven't disclosed here :) Lots of back-end work went into the 2.0 update, which isn't really visible to the player but will make additional features and new story paths much easier to handle down the line.
That being said, there's nothing planned for the future, despite all the ideas I have. Perhaps a 3.0 update, who knows, but no promises!
That's it for now! Thank you so much for supporting this silly hot dog game, it means the world to me! I'm very excited to announce my next project (which found a publisher even!), and it's looking like July is when that will be announced.
