We're very sorry for the small period where Eternal Crusade returned to full retail price for a short period of time as we can't have a long term discount, the base price had to be lowered and that caused a glitch. We will be on 20% discount till we enter the EA Beta where it's 10%, only going full retail price when we launch.
You know, since we already passed full retard and went to 11 a long time ago.
Let's repeat the message though, If you bought at full price, contact Steam support. Now onto the patch!
With one of many dedicated performance improvements out yesterday (sorry for being a day early with that patch, won't happen again) we're happy to return to our schedule and prepare for the big patch next week Thursday 11th.
This will have further performance enhancements, map optimizations and improvements, updated UI flow and a wealth of things! Maybe, just maybe a new map and weapon.
That will be an explosive endeavor as this is one of those patches where we push out the entire "branch" of changes in the last weeks, instead of "cherry picking" like we did yesterday.
This is also why I think Thursday is more likely than Tuesday, more Quality Assurance time on this, less burning of me on the stake as it has less bugs. Never no bugs, but less. For that's the difference between burning on that hot pizza vs intensive care unit, and I'm all out of lube.
In other news, we love you!! (And the press)
We're #3 on MMORPG.COM on hype and IGN considers us one of the Top 9 to watch in 2016 . We've gotten a lot of great coverage which warms my dead cold heart. We're unorthodox and we're essentially making a lobby shooter before make it "massive". Not good shooter? Massive doesn't matter. Simple.
We're honored and flattered for getting noticed and incredibly happy that your reviews are honest and as flattering as well. You know we agree with y'all. We have potential, we're not there yet, there are performance issues and we encourage you to wait if you have doubts. Wait, I could say the same about my sex life.
Thank you everyone and keep up giving and updating the good, honest reviews. Nothing is better for us than honesty, otherwise we won't know what is the biggest problem to fix, so yes, thank you even though you wrote a negative review, because we're here so that you can participate in the direction and development of the game, not after your money.
(OK, we love your money but we don't need it to finish the game)
Sincerely,
Nathan and crew
