As we just love sharing ... well, the love we figured we'd give update on the progress to world domination, world annihilation or infinite global carnage on Arkhona.
Our next patch which my aforementioned internet entry of text mentioned has as it's flagship feature Unreal Engine 4.11 and we're hoping it's massive focus on optimizations and performance done for their own game also benefits us greatly so we expect great success.
This is the only thing I can confirm today because we have so many of our development pipelines working at the speed and ferocity of a Khorne Berserker and I want to give them the headroom to select between delivery in this patch or the following patch. I think it's called empowerment. Or manipulation. No influencing. Yes. Right.
Examples of the things you might see and are very likely for next patch are:
- Headliner: Unreal Engine 4.11 with its optimization focus
- Supporting actor: Our own optimizations
- Introducing: Balancing rules for matchmaking (min and max players per map, max gap between teams)
- Newcomer: PvP Map: Maggon
- Also starring: Match flow: Predeployment setup phase and spawning vehicles from battle map
- And Chat: interaction through keyboard only (like Battlefield, meant to fix a few bugs + UE improvement) and global cover and vaulting improvements
- A currently unknown amount of extras, such as bugfixes, improvements, class and weapon balancing as well as a few surprises that might make it in.
That's as far as we're prepared to talk about right now as we're a week out from the patch and who knows what emerges from the warp with the unbound enthusiasm and determination this team is showing these days (Yes, I'm very proud).
Also, this week we'll be testing 3 new maps on the UAT/Founders server. They will be announced on our social channels and in the Steam calendar so you get a popup.
