Hi and welcome! 👋
Fresh from the Awesome Indies Showcase at gamescom, we’re so excited to finally reveal our game to the world and create this lovely cosy space with you all. Welcome to A Storied Life: Tabitha, a wholesome narrative puzzle game combining serene packing puzzles with a choose-your-own-story twist.
In A Storied Life: Tabitha, you arrive at the house of someone close to you who has recently died to find a ruined memoir and a letter of interest from a publisher. Picking through the items that made up this person’s life, you’ll choose what stories you want to tell from their past, using the belongings they’ve left behind.
Each room of the house is filled with trinkets and treasures, but you can only keep so many items. Carefully position the objects you wish to keep inside a cardboard box, using bubble wrap and tape to secure fragile belongings and reinforce the box for heavier items.
Decide what will stay with you, what you’ll put up for auction, and what you’ll discard as you search through cupboards and drawers and rearrange furniture to uncover items waiting to be found. Some of the items may even have their own secrets for you to discover…
Once you’ve packed up a room, it’s time to write a chapter in the memoir and shape the story of Tabitha’s life. Each item comes with its own list of words to fill out the memoir, and each word takes the story in entirely new directions. Will this person be remembered as a beloved grandparent? A shy recluse? Or perhaps an erratic eccentric? Or will you write a whole new tale, either serious or silly? The choice is yours – though the publisher might not appreciate it if your story makes no sense.
We’re pleased to reveal that A Storied Life: Tabitha will launch on PC via Steam in early 2026.
If you’d like to follow all of our updates on socials, it’s best to follow our publisher accounts here. Please share the game with anyone who’ll enjoy cosy spaces, brain-tingling puzzles, and uncovering mysteries, and if you'd like to come and chat with us on Discord, here's the link to join.
We’ll be back with more updates very soon, but until then, please let us know in the comments if you’re excited to learn more about the game we’ve spent the last few years carefully developing. We can’t wait to show you more.
