Hello all you gorgeous individuals out there! Happy almost Valentine's Day! Bliss Valley: After Dark has been out for over a month now and we just wanna say how thankful we are for your continued support of Amusement Studios! We're so happy to hear that many of you have been enjoying your time with Bliss Valley: After Dark. We wanted to break the silence to share with you what we've been cooking up behind the scenes. We're super excited to share what we've been working on, so let's get to it!
What we have in store for Bliss Valley: After Dark's 1.1.0 Update!
NEW QUESTS:
We're adding a variety of new quests to Bliss Valley: After Dark! There will be new storylines from characters already within the game, newcomers, and some old familiar faces! Quests are the bread and butter of the game, it only made sense to expand the game with more storylines you can partake in throughout Bliss Valley: After Dark.
Wait... Did you say "old familiar faces"?
Yup! We had two specific characters in mind to bring from the first game to BV:AD. We gotta complete the trio, right? Stay tuned. :3
NEW LOCATIONS:
New quests also bring new locations! The game will feature a handful of new locations that will be featured in the game's new questlines and beyond!
What kind of new locations?
While we can't give too much away right now. The new locations will host new questlines and new activities.
New activities?
Yes! New activities like...
THE GALLERY:
The original Bliss Valley had a gallery that was available on the title screen. While this was the first option we considered for After Dark, we thought it'd be more fun if the gallery was more diegetic. The gallery will be available in a new museum location where you'll be able to view various sprites and poses, backgrounds, and concept art!
THE BATTLE ZONE:
The what now?
In the original Bliss Valley we added boss fights that you'd encounter throughout the True Ending run. We were thrilled to see that a lot of you seemed really into them! We wanted to bring something like that back, but on a bigger scale! At the battle zone you'll be able to participate in various boss fights using a unique battle system with cards! You'll be able to fight various Bliss Valley characters and advance the story in the Battle Zone questline! Of course boss fights are not everyone's cup of tea, especially in a game like this, so this will be completely optional!
Who will I be fighting?
We wanna leave that as a surprise, but we'll show you one character you'll battle with.
Even in pixel art, Ellie melts my heart.
Any other locations?:
Absolutely! As stated earlier, there are a handful of locations you'll be able to visit through the various new quests in 1.1.0! Just like with the base game, you'll be able to fast travel to these locations with your in game phone. We'll have more to share once the update is closer to completion.
Neato! What else do you have in store?
We're glad you asked!
RECORDS & A RECORD PLAYER!:
Throughout your playthrough of Bliss Valley: After Dark you'll be able to collect records as you complete quests! If you buy the new record player item from Hades' pawn shop, you'll be able to listen to these records in your hotel room!
NEW ACHIEVEMENTS!:
The game will be receiving new achievements you'll be able to unlock by completing new quests, completing fights in the battle zone, etc.
Well that covers everything regarding the 1.1.0 update. We hope you'll all enjoy your time with it once it releases! Let's move on to the F.A.Q!
Do you plan on having additional content updates for Bliss Valley: After Dark after this one?:
We're pretty confident we'll be adding additional content to the game throughout 2026. (Maybe even beyond that?) Stay tuned!
Do you plan on adding paid DLC to Bliss Valley: After Dark?:
It's certainly on the table. All new NSFW characters and storylines will need to be DLC, free or otherwise. Once 1.1.0 releases, we'll most likely have a decision made.
Is anything in the 1.1.0 update going to be NSFW?
Just like we were saying with DLC, all NSFW content needs to come in the form of DLC. So unfortunately we will not be able to add new NSFW content in the 1.1.0 update.
Will there be another game in the Bliss Valley series?:
It's too soon to say. We're currently more focused on buffing up Bliss Valley: After Dark with free updates, but never say never!
Is Amusement Studios working on a new game at all?:
Yes we are! We're currently in the concepting phase for a new project. What we can say about it is that it won't be NSFW and won't contain furry characters. We're excited to show what we have in store when that day comes!
Why can't Ellie be real?:
I ask myself this everyday...
Do you plan on doing anything for Bliss Valley's one year anniversary?:
We have a cute little thing planned, yes.
What's with the Dave/Craig David stuff?:
It's him...
I encountered a bug in one of your games, what should I do?:
If you encountered a bug, the best thing you can do is either DM us on our Bluesky or email us!
