Hey everyone,
With this update, we are officially bringing the game to macOS. Alongside the new platform release, this update focuses on fixing several bugs and polishing the overall gameplay experience to ensure everything runs smoothly. Here are the most important fixes and changes:
MACOS SUPPORT:
Beneath the Quiet: Where It Ends is now officially playable on macOS
FIXES:
Fixed a missing collider on a cabinet in the Prologue
Fixed an issue where replying to Alex too quickly in the communication terminal caused an infinite loop and permanently halted progression
Fixed a bug where players could progress through Alex's dialogue without actually completing the required objective
Fixed an issue where entering keypad view caused the camera to randomly move out of the world bounds
Fixed a bug in the Epilogue where a door moved in the opposite direction when closing
Fixed a macOS-specific issue where the Prologue transition would fail to load automatically
Fixed macOS-specific input issues causing unintended terminal errors
IMPROVEMENTS & CHANGES:
Adjusted the placement of an item in a locker to make it easier to pick up
Adjusted the position and rotation of a barrel to properly hide the player from enemy line of sight
KNOWN ISSUES:
Dying at the beginning of Act 1 before a save is triggered currently loads the last save of the Prologue instead of restarting Act 1
The jumpscare enemy's attack can sometimes trigger without the enemy being visually present
Picking up the phone sometimes allows the player to walk away while the phone remains floating in the air
More updates soon.
