In response to community feedback, we're introducing NPCs to Portal Knights in Update v 0.6.0, scheduled for release on October 6th 2016!
We're super excited to announce that we're also introducing a trading system to Portal Knights. Some NPCs are going to serve as vendors with specific items in their stock that the player can buy with gold. The player can also sell unused items to the vendor NPCs to free up space in the backpack and earn gold required to buy the items offered by the various vendors. Oh... And that's not all... As part of the update, you'll also be able to take part in all-new NPC quests! Get ready to earn those rewards. ;)
You'll also notice in the below video that a 'portal compass' is being introduced to Portal Knights. This will help those knights who want some guidance on the direction they need to take in order to find a portal... (Particularly handy when you're playing on the larger islands!)
