Oye, beltalowda!
- What’s the worst thing that can happen during a spacewalk?
- Why can silence be more terrifying than noise?
- And how do you recreate the fear of drifting into the void inside a video game?
To answer these questions, we turned to someone who’s actually been there: former NASA astronaut and ISS Commander Leroy Chiao.
In our new video, Leroy walks through what real EVA fear feels like, why tethers matter, how space actually sounds (or doesn’t), and how your own breath becomes the soundtrack of survival.
Alongside him, our developers break down how these insights shaped the game—from mag boots replacing EVA tethers, to recoil and ballistics in zero-G, to the near-silence of vacuum firefights, to how a cramped ship becomes a true home for a crew.
You will be able to see the results of our collective labor in the upcoming Beta, if you are a Founder with a Miller's Pack or a Collector's Edition.
