Greetings, noble guards and naughty traitors,
With the Steam Board Game Festival just around the corner, we want to take a moment to thank all the beta testers, demo players, streamers, and fellow indie developers who shared genuine and thoughtful feedback on our demo. Thanks to you, we’ve made it this far - and the number of wishlists we’ve received has exceeded our expectations by a wide margin.
Before we introduce our upcoming **phased mechanics system**, we’d like to invite everyone to give the current demo one last run. This new system will allow players to gradually unlock features that are currently available from the start. If you felt that the onboarding into King’s Guard’s mechanical depth was a bit too steep, this update is designed to smooth that experience.
And if you were hoping for *more* sadistic traps, quantum twists, and an even deeper downward spiral into the royal sewers - don’t worry. We’ve got you covered as well.
Stay tuned, and if you haven’t invited your friends to wishlist the game yet, now is the perfect time.
