Here’s everything new, updated, and fixed in the upcoming full launch of Mythscroll! The full game adds new systems, balances progression, introduces new content and achievements, and improves overall player experience.
Gameplay & Mechanics
Evade Ambushes with Stealth You now have a chance to evade surprise attacks and ambushes from aggressive creatures based on your Stealth stat.
Armor Speed Rework Rebalanced how armor affects speed:
Light and heavy armor skills now have a greater impact.
Wearing heavy armor without proper skill is more punishing; mastering armor gives more noticeable benefits.
Enchanted Weapon System
You can now damage fully physically immune creatures (e.g., ghosts, wraiths, will-o-wisps) using enchanted weapons or ammo.
Enchanted arrows also work in regular bows.
Creature Morality Behavior
Creatures who are closer to your morality are more agreeable and easier to talk to and persuade.
Some creatures may now flee before or during combat, especially when threatened or confronted by evil-aligned players.
Creature Interaction Options
New option: Ask for directions during creature encounters.
Renamed "Threaten creature" to "Rob creature", and made it a standalone option (no need to talk the creature first).
Creatures can now also attempt to rob you of gold or items.
Merchant & Theft Balance
Merchant inventories now scale with area level, no more buying top-tier gear in starter areas.
Robbing merchants or trying to learn a language for free is now more difficult.
Resting Improvements
Resting is now 30% more likely to succeed in all areas.
You can always rest safely in towns and designated safe zones.
Boost your Stealth stat to rest successfully even more often in the wild.
