The Steam Next Fest came to an end – and with it, a big decision has been made:
We’ve officially reached (and likely passed) the minimum wishlist goal I had personally set to justify moving forward with Early Access!
While it’s not quite the explosion I secretly dreamed of, it’s already far more than I expected for such a niche project.
The feedback, wishlists, and overall interest during the demo have been an incredible motivator.
Especially considering that over 93% of players who added it to their wishlist kept it there – a clear sign that something about the concept resonates.
🧭 What’s next?
Over the coming weeks, the project will transition into focused Early Access development.
The entire settler system is being rebuilt from the ground up to support deeper simulation, smarter behavior, and a more dynamic world.
A comprehensive Early Access roadmap is currently in the works and will be published a few weeks before release.
It will give you a transparent look at what’s planned, what’s prioritized, and what to expect on day one – and beyond.
💬 Join the Discord – and help shape what comes next
A new Beaver Fever Games Discord server will go live in the coming days, built around Everstead Origins and all future titles.
It will be a place to:
Stay up to date with development
Share ideas and feedback
Ask questions and help others
Chat about the universe and its lore
...or just hang out and watch things unfold
I’ll be listening closely – but always with the intent to protect the core vision of the game.
That means feedback and criticism are genuinely welcome – and many ideas might be adopted, as long as they align with the spirit of Everstead.
Thanks for being part of this weird little experiment.
And now... let’s build something special.
